Fairly new to our stable, the BRZ is Kristen’s daily driver and general hoon car. With the initial thought process to build this out to be an STX car, our current thought process is to leave it in CS and see how far the car will go in that trim. With the FRS having the TRD lowering spring and sway bars allowance, the BRZ is at a disadvantage, but it’s not meant to be the class winning car. The primary focus/function is to keep it fun. Kristen’s happy place is a very loose car, so although we don’t have much in the way of adjustment due to stock class, it’s been dialed in with that in mind.

Engine

Stock class in the SCCA doesn’t allow anything but a drop in filter. The car runs a Green Filter and we have a K&N drop in.

Suspension

Stock shocks for now, alignment courtesy of Brett Norgaard of YAWSPORT with OEM crash bolts and a Stranoparts Front Sway Bar.

Brakes

Currently running the Fujita front pads for the BRZ. The car’s braking response has improved slightly with these on the car. No more noticeable dusting than the OEM units with somewhat increased stopping and a bit more pedal feedback.

Exhaust

The OEM unit has been replaced with an Invidia N1 cat back system. The car itself really becomes very aggressive sounding and Kristen loves the way it sounds. Here’s a nice clip with the silencers on.
